Bethany Global University offers traditional dorm-style housing for its students and a variety of meal plan options. The dorms on campus are separated by gender and each one has an accessible kitchen or kitchenette and lounge. The meal plans are designed to meet a variety of dietary and life situations.
There are 4 dorms on campus: Finsaas Hall, Bergh Hall, Shelling Hall, and Church Hall, each with its own unique amenities.
Shelling Hall is a three-floor men’s dorm. The rooms differ in size (1 to 4 persons per room).
Each floor contains two furnished lounges and a kitchenette.
The bottom floor also contains shared facilities including a full kitchen, dining room, and laundry.
The women at BGU have three different locations that they might call home.
Bergh Hall is a women’s dorm with a basement and three floors. The rooms are all the same size (2 people per room).
Each floor contains a furnished lounge and shared bathroom facilities.
The basement also contains shared facilities including storage rooms, a large furnished lounge, and a kitchenette.

Whenever possible the university asks that married couples consider enrolling together. However, this is not an admissions requirement.

If the husband and wife are both students at BGU, then they will both pay the normal individual rate for room & board at BGU since there is no discount for married couples or families.
Yes, married couples and families can live off campus within a daily commute of BGU; however, this would make the student(s) ineligible for the tuition-paid model. Therefore, if you choose to live off campus, then you will need to speak to an Admissions Counselor about the tuition rates you are responsible for paying as a student.
Note: If you choose to live off campus as a married student, you are still required to attend all the requirements of the program: Life Group, Outreach, Practical Training, and PX.
No, the apartments on the Bethany International’s campus are only available to renters who are not Bethany Global University students.
The spouse who is a BGU student would be responsible for the normal room & board costs, while the non-student spouse would need to pay the cost of rent established by Bethany’s Services department. Please contact an Admissions representative about the current cost of rent for the non-student spouse who will be living in dorm housing.
Note: The non-student spouse of a full-time student living in student housing must complete a different application process in order to live in the dorms. This consists of submitting a rental application form and reference. Additional information may be requested by the university.
The youngest child of a single parent must be at least 14 years old upon enrollment in order for the family to reside in student housing.
Bethany Global University does not encourage or facilitate the separation of families for the sake of training. Therefore, couples and dependent children are expected to live together in the dorms except in the case of married students who live within a daily commute of the university. These students may elect to live off-campus while completing the requirements of their program. International students are permitted to attend Bethany without their spouse or children for a maximum duration of one academic year.
Included with your housing, your room and board also covers a meal plan.
The standard meal plan comes with 3 meals a day 7 days a week. These meals are redeemable in the cafeteria where there are multiple options for each meal including a salad bar. Students find the variety of options to be more than sufficient in meeting their dietary needs.
The Double Entree meal plan is almost identical to the standard meal plan. The difference being that the main entree will be served in double portions to someone with this plan. There is an additional $500/semester fee for selecting the Double Entree meal plan.
The standard meal plan often has a gluten-free option but this is not guaranteed. There are occasional meals where all of the dishes served may contain gluten. If you suffer from a strong gluten intolerance or a gluten allergy, then you can have a gluten free entree specially prepared for you each meal. There is a $500/semester fee when selecting the Gluten Free meal plan.
While students with family on campus are more than welcome to select the standard meal plan, Bethany offers an option that allows the student to share their meals with family members. The student will be given roughly 90 meal tickets that can be used for any meal (fewer during months with breaks) and then be able to use them for both themselves and their family members. More tickets can be purchased at the Oasis if necessary. This allows for the families on campus to eat with each other and still be a part of the Bethany community.
